Codex Security Cloud runs scans in Codex Cloud. After connecting GitHub, users can run a one-time scan or enable Continuous Scanning to review new commits on the repository’s default branch. Findings include affected code, validation evidence, and remediation guidance. Where Fix with Codex is available, the system can generate a proposed patch for review before a draft pull request is created. The capability is currently in research preview and is limited to workspaces with access rather than being enabled for all ChatGPT or Codex users by default. Local-repository scanning continues to use the separate Codex Security plugin.
