OpenAI’s API changelog states that GPT‑Rosalind billing begins on October 5, 2026. For eligible workspaces on Enterprise USD token-based billing, ChatGPT Work and Codex list the same $5 / $0.50 / $25 per-1M-token rates. Under credit-based pricing, Chat is approximately 20 credits per message, while Work/Codex uses 125 input credits, 12.5 cached-input credits, and 625 output credits per 1M tokens. Whether a workspace is billed in USD tokens or credits depends on its agreement and billing model. Rosalind API access is currently for approved internal research use and should not be treated as approval for customer-facing external commercial products.

GPT‑Rosalind Billing Takes Effect Across the API and Eligible Enterprise Rate Cards
OpenAI previously announced that published GPT‑Rosalind pricing would take effect on October 5, 2026. Eligible organizations using the model through Trusted Access are now subject to the published rate cards; API Standard pricing is $5 per 1M input tokens, $0.50 per 1M cached input tokens, and $25 per 1M output tokens. Access still depends on organizational eligibility, agreements, and supported surfaces and is not automatically enabled for all ChatGPT or Enterprise workspaces.
